Saskaberry Ranch was started in 1998, and our first saskatoon and raspberry plants were planted in the spring of 1999, and from that time we have continued to expand and diversify. We view ourselves not as owners of the land in the traditional sense, rather we see ourselves as stewards of the land that we have been entrusted to and knowing that someday we will have to give an account to our Creator for how we have managed this resource that He has entrusted to us.

With this as the backdrop to our decision making process, we strive to make our decisions on the long term benefit to the soil, the environment, our livestock, and our family’s well being. We see our farm as a long range project with the objective of building into the soil to make it more resilient, productive and sustainable through various technological advances and management decisions. Our goal is that our grandkids will be happy to share our farm with your grandkids and let them continue to enjoy the beauty and flavours of our farm. We appreciate your support as we continue on this adventure, whether you come out to our farm and enjoy the beauty God has provided in our little place on creation and pick some great tasting food, or if you purchase food from us at one of our drop off locations, or even share an encouraging word with us or about us. With the model of production and marketing that we have chosen for our farm, a happy, well informed support base is crucial, and we do not take it for granted.

As we think about our farm going forward, we are reminded of the great music composers and artists of history. Often during their lifetimes they were little known but had patrons who believed in them and wanted to support them and with this support they were able to do the amazing things they did. If you would like to partner with us and help us improve the soil and the environment around our little part of the world that would be greatly appreciated.

SUPPORT US

If you would like to discuss this with us, we would be most happy to talk with you. Thanks again for your support of our farm.
